Cherry Ave

We are transforming a plot of land off Cherry Avenue which was formerly vacant. In its place we are building 38 highly energy efficient, much needed properties and planning improvements to the surrounding area to benefit local people.

Housing mix

38 new homes which will be a mixture of two and three bedroom homes.

• 10 two bedroom houses
• 28 three bedroom houses

Tenure

All homes will be for affordable rent.

Sustainability

Homes are fitted with increased ground floor insulation, increased loft insulation and triple glazing among other measures to help customers save energy and keep bills down. The eco friendly design makes them 15% more energy efficient than Part L of the Building Regulations require.

In spring 2021 we launched a competition to find a name for the new street at our Cherry Ave development.

We received 145 entries from people across the Oldham borough and 'Pear Tree View', suggested by local man Alan Tupman, was selected as the winner. Read more about the competition and new street name.
