Do you want to tidy up your neighbourhood? Get involved in the Great British Spring Clean!

08/05/2021

Are you passionate about keeping the neighbourhoods you live and work in looking lovely?

If the answer is yes, we’d love you to get involved in the Great British Spring Clean.

What is it?

The Great British Spring Clean (GBSC) is a national event which gets the country up and out giving their neighbourhoods a tidy up in time for summer.

Here at FCHO we’re holding two GBSC days on Friday 4 and Friday 11 June. We’ll be litter picking across areas including St Mary’s, Coldhurst, Werneth, Eldon Street and the West Street neighbourhood where we know litter and fly tipping has been a problem and we’d love you to get involved. We’re encouraging our customers, community representatives and stakeholders to join in too! Everyone will be provided with a high-vis, gloves, litter pickers and bags and we'll be asking participants to adhere to the current government guidelines during the litter pick so we can ensure all activities are Covid-19 safe,

So if you're up for getting their hands dirty (not literally – that’s why we’ll give you gloves!)  email our Volunteers Co-ordinator Naomi at volunteer@fcho.co.uk to register your interest.

Naomi will be in touch with more details such as exact times and locations closer to the time.
