Getting back in the swing of things: our playgrounds have reopened
24/07/2020
We’re pleased to announce that our playgrounds are now open again. We closed them in March following government guidance to help limit the spread of coronavirus, so thanks for being understanding during this period.
We know that our playgrounds are important parts of community life and many of you will be looking forward to using them again. To help you enjoy them safely we have put measures in place:
- We have produced health and safety risk assessments to manage the potential risks of Covid-19
- Our operatives will wipe down the equipment in playgrounds Mon-Fri
- Signs will be clearly displayed at all our playgrounds. These will remind adults to promote responsible behaviour, particularly with maintaining social distancing and good hand hygiene.
We're delighted that our playgrounds will be enjoyed by our customers again. We ask you to please:
- Only use our playgrounds when you can observe social distancing guidance and keep 1m+ apart from others
- Ensure all children, parents, guardians and carers observe social distancing
- Wash your hands for 20 seconds before and after using a playground
- Use hand sanitiser after touching any of the equipment on a playground
- Don’t consume food or drink in our playgrounds
- Dispose of all your litter including any used protective wear (e.g. face masks, gloves)
- Avoid touching your face, and cough or sneeze into a tissue or arm when a tissue is not available
- Remind children and adults not to put their mouths on equipment, or their hands in their mouths
- Bring your own towel and hygiene products to wipe down equipment after use
