New eco homes in Chadderton complete

Great news! We have completed another development of high quality, modern, sustainable homes that will help customers save energy and money - this time in Chadderton.

The scheme of nine eco-friendly one-bedroom apartments for affordable rent on Burnley Lane has transformed a former derelict site and been delivered by us in partnership with contractor, John Southworth Builders.

Each home at the build is highly insulated and equipped with a low carbon electrical heating system to help minimise energy consumption. Cycle storage and an electric vehicle charging point have also been included in the design to encourage use of sustainable transport.

The apartments have been allocated by Oldham Council to people on the council’s housing register and are being managed by FCHO.

The £1m development is our latest new build scheme, and part of our ambitious plan to build 1,100 high quality, energy efficient homes in Oldham, Rochdale, Tameside, Kirklees and Calderdale 2020-2026 to improve the lives of local people.
