Your non-chargeable weeks are coming up

17/12/2021

Great news! Your next non-chargeable weeks are coming up. If you do have any rent arrears, making a payment during these weeks will help you reduce your rent balance or clear it off for good.

Your next non-chargeable weeks are later this month and in January ’22:

  • Week commencing 27 December 2021
  • Week commencing 3 January 2022

All our customers are entitled to non-chargeable weeks which we give to you to help with your housing costs at times of the year when your expenditure may go up. There are usually two weeks around Christmas and two weeks at Easter.

But if you have rent arrears and you can afford to make a payment, continuing to pay rent during these weeks will help reduce your debt.

How do the non-chargeable weeks work?

If you pay your rent monthly by Direct Debit the reductions have already been calculated into your payment plan.

If you pay your rent by Direct Debit by another other frequency (e.g. fortnightly) and have a credit balance, we will amend the Direct Debit so you don’t pay rent during the non-chargeable weeks. You do not need to do anything, we will arrange this for you.
